Pictures |
Insert pictures of the child you are making the book
for and also pictures that support the news stories that you’ve included. You'll want to ensure that the pictures you use are in the public domain so that you don't run into copyright issues. There
are several options for using permissible images, including Shutterstock or Istock Photo

Be an Historian |
The first step is for you to change your mindset. You need to put yourself 20 or 30 years into the future and think about what a particular news story means from that perspective rather than from today’s perspective.
|
Use a Broad Range of Stories |
Remember that you have no idea what this little person is going to grow up to be. Your book should include a wide range of topics – sports, politics, science – but within each topic you should also provide variety.
|
Pose Questions |
Talk to the future version of your little one. One of the things you are trying to do with your scrapbook is to help document how things are today (when your little one was born) compared to how it might be when they are grown up and reminiscing about their childhood, reading the book you created. A great way to do this is to talk to them directly – knowing that they will be older when they read it and the world will be a different place.
